Restorations (Fillings)

Fillings are used to prevent the spread of mild to moderate tooth decay. All decayed areas of the tooth must be removed before placing a restoration. There are two different types of fillings: amalgam, otherwise known as silver fillings, and composite, or white fillings, which can be made to match the exact shade of your tooth. After years of advancements to composite resin, it has become an ideal filling material.

Sealants

Children and adults can benefit from sealants in order to prevent tooth decay. They effectively cover the fissures and deep grooves that the toothbrush or other oral hygiene instruments cannot reach. They are very simple to apply and are recommended for all posterior teeth with deeper grooves.
